The Newest American is a research site about money — specifically, how famous Americans actually earn it. Not just the headline number, but the machine underneath: the contracts, catalogs, businesses, deals and royalties that produce it.

Why this site exists

The celebrity net-worth genre has a credibility problem: precise-sounding figures with no sources, copied between sites for years, presented as fact. We built The Newest American to do the opposite — publish what’s documented, label what’s estimated, show where every number comes from, and say plainly when no reliable number exists.

What you’ll find here

Money profiles of athletes, musicians, founders, actors and television figures — each with an income breakdown, a career-money timeline, a sources box, and confidence labels on every figure. Alongside them, our “How Money Works” guides explain the systems themselves: touring economics, TV residuals, podcast advertising, coaching contracts and more.

Who we cover
